Australian band
Chase Atlantic (stylised in conclusion caps) is an Australian R&B troika from Cairns, Queensland, formed in 2014. The trio consists of three members: Christian Anthony and brothers Mitchel final Clinton Cave, and have released digit EPs and four albums since their formation. They are best known put under somebody's nose their hit 2017 single, "Swim".
Career
2012–2013: Before Chase Atlantic
Christian Anthony and Mitchel Cave were in a boy button called What About Tonight. They bacilliform the band to audition for spell 1 4 of The X Factor State. However, they were eliminated in period two, coming in eleventh place.[1][2]
Mitchel Cave's older brother, Clinton Cave, had first-class successful YouTube channel, ClintonCaveMusic, where justness brothers would release cover songs regularly.[3] In 2012, the three released their first cover together[4] which would put right of Bruno Mars' Locked Out check Heaven.[5] Later on, in 2013, they professionally performed together for the control time under the name K.I.D.S. 2014–2015: Dalliance and Nostalgia
The trio first unconfined music under the name Chase Ocean when Clinton Cave recruited Mitchel added Christian to assist in recording neat university project.[8] The band would shop for their name, "Chase Atlantic" from nowhere. According to Mitchel, the name Rent Atlantic means nothing, it was straighten up combination of two words that representation band members liked, Chase and Ocean, "We spend a couple of memorandum trying to come up with span plausible and profound explanation for their band name. "It [Chase Atlantic] correctly means nothing," says Cave. "It's inexpressive hard to find band names, phenomenon just put two words we in point of fact liked together that can't be proportionate with anything else."[9] Chase Atlantic on the surface released the EP Dalliance on 26 May 2014.[10] Their early sound was often described as Pop Rock shaft Pop Punk.[11]
In February 2015, the zipper released their second EP, Nostalgia,[12] feat their song "Friends" to be dependent with multiple Tumblr edits. "Friends" was also later certified Silver by integrity British Phonographic Industry (BPI) in 2022.[13]
Later in 2015, the band caught rectitude eye of Benji and Joel Soar, and they signed the group hearten their management company, MDDN, in perfectly 2016.[14]
2016–2018: EPs and debut studio album
In January 2016, Chase Atlantic released "Obsessive". They followed up with their bag EP, Paradise, in February 2016, which they promoted extensively.[15][16]
In January 2017, Importune Atlantic released their fourth EP, Part One, to coincide with their mark with Warner Bros. Records. This was followed by Part Two in Hoof it 2017. In mid-2017, the band proclaimed their first tour of the Leagued States, opening for Sleeping with Sirens' Gossip: Up Close & Personal Tour.[17][7] Chase Atlantic released Part Three connect September 2017.[18]
Their self-titled debut album, Chase Atlantic, was released in October 2017.[19] Later in 2017, they went stage a headlining tour in the Banded together States, where they played 16 shows across 11 states, followed by pull out all the stops Australian tour opening for Blackbear.[20][21]
In 2018, the band continued touring the Concerted States by opening for singer Lighting up and playing US and UK festivals, including Bonnaroo, Vans Warped Tour 2018, and Reading/Leeds Festival 2018.[22]
They released standalone singles "Numb to the Feeling" accept "Tidal Wave" in mid-2018.[23] Later think it over year, they also left Warner Brothers Records and went independent.[24]
2019–2022: Phases bid Beauty in Death
The group spent Jan to April 2019 in Los Angeles, working on their second album.[25] Riposte April, they announced the Phases Tour: North America for the summer discern 2019, in support of their shortly album, Phases, and set the set date for 28 June 2019.[26] Honesty album was preceded by three singles, "Her", "Stuckinmybrain", and "Love Is (Not) Easy", which were released on 10 May, 24 May, and 7 June 2019, respectively.
In 2020, they began work on their third studio release, Beauty in Death, which the cast released on 5 March 2021.[27][28] Fringe their album rollout, they also free a collaborative single with dark extend artist Plvtinum, called "Hit My Line".[29] On 2 May 2022, the assemblage announced the release of a sumptuous edition of Beauty in Death.[30]
2023–present: Come back from Hiatus and Lost in Heaven
In 2023, after a break to bore on themselves,[31] Chase Atlantic made their return to the music scene mess up the release of the single "Mamacita" on 26 September. The track, which blends elements of alternative R&B point of view pop, marked the beginning of smart new era for the band.[32]
On 20 September 2024, they set the loosen of their next studio album, Lost in Heaven, for 1 November 2024. The album preceded three new singles "Die for Me", "Doubt It" extremity “Ricochet”, released on 23 August, 20 September and 11 October 2024, mutatis mutandis, and would also include their erstwhile release "Mamacita".[33]

Music style
According to the band, their style survey "conjured up dark alternative pop fitful by rock and R&B". Throughout their four years of making music, their music style has changed from ending alternative pop sound to a very alternative R&B sound.[37] Their influences incorporate Tame Impala, the Weeknd,[38]the 1975 survive The Neighbourhood.[39]

Headlining tours
- Nostalgia Tour (2015): Chase Atlantic's first chief tour took place in 2015, not later than which the band performed at wee venues across several Australian cities, containing Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne. The setlist primarily featured tracks from their Dalliance EP, Nostalgia EP, and various hole up songs.[41][42]
- Paradise Tour (2016): In 2016, they embarked on a small tour strike three venues in Australia, before euphoria back to the United States, focus on promote and tease their then-unreleased Paradise EP.[43][44]
- Chase Atlantic: The Tour (2017): Christened after their self-titled album Chase Atlantic, the tour featured performances across Boreal America.[21]
- Phases Tour (2019): In 2019, justness band toured extensively across North U.s. and Europe to support their quickly album, Phases. The tour featured acta b events in major cities, highlighting the band's rising popularity[45]
